HI, new to the forum I need some help with the steering on my jeep. I just put chevy axels in A 76 cj-5! Can anyone tell me if they make a kit for this. Thanks

Did you go spring over or spring under? I don't know specifically of any kit on the market... Might try a steering linkage from a Wagoneer and modify (probably lengthen) as necessary. Or, you could pick up some DOM tubing and tap the ends for either tie rod ends or heim joints. When I put my D44 under my CJ I picked up a length of this Tubing and used it for my tie rod and drag link.. it's 1 1/4" x 5/16" wall. I tapped it for 3/4" fine threads and use chromoly heim joints at all 4 joints. Ended up spending about $200 on the setup but it's pretty tough.

'80 CJ5 w/AMC360, T176, D44 w/Detroit 4.56, RE 4" YJ lift and 35s..

I put the axles under the springs to give it just a little more lift ! I'll try to look though the salvage yard for the right stuff and i guess I'll just have to make something work . Thanks
