Very very stupid question - how did you locate where to drill the holes to mount the bumper onto the frame? As in, the original mounting holes with factory hardware. Just measured carefully and it ended up working out? Very nice job by the way!

Yep, measure twice, drill once! I took careful measurments of the frame mounting points and then traced them out onto the steel and center punched all the holes. Luckily, they all lined up without any fuss.

What were the measurements on that top plate roughly? 34x12?
