My cj hard top had a flange that screwed to the inside of the windshield frame. Do yj and tj tops mount the same way? We can make the bikini work with the soft tops, but we are working on a bracket that will work with hard tops as well.

We are working on the yj bikini mold right now. We would like to do bikini and safari tops for all models. So give us some time and hopefully we can get the ball rolling a little faster.

We are considering carbon fiber for the first one, it will be a nice display piece.

Place for sunglasses. Grade/Tilt meter. Maybe just an elastic strap for holding random things, like maps/papers, ect...

It's always darkest before dawn... so if your going to steal your neighbors newspaper, that is the time to do so.

We are having a little trouble fitting under the soft top frame. So we are going to try to make it a little more wheather tight and come to the upper door edges, for those that like to keep the doors on.

All I need is 4 more inches.

I like the idea, can't wait to see pics!

P.S. Your sig provides me with a perfect opportunity for a quality "That's what she said."

Here are some pics just to get some opinions, (not the finished product). This is just a flat template just to get the basic shape and size.

Notice the overhang beyond the center hoop (about 9"s) I planned on cutting it off, but a few people said they liked it and would like the speakers to mount there.

So what do you think? keep it? cut it?

Keep in mind the finished top will not be flat. It will have edges about 3\4" thick and rounded over.

on the overhang, perfect place to mount the speakers. Looks like you have a great template going!

Still pluggin away, we decided to keep the overhang. I'll post some pics of the finished top as soon as it's done.

Very neat! I'd love to have something like this with speakers and a dome light built in!

Ever think about mesh net pockets in the front corners that zip shut, kind of triangle shaped? Would be a nice place to shove stuff for when you don't have doors on.

The greatest thing about this idea IMO is the noise factor then the protection from the Sun. Maybe you could integrate some small hooks of some kind to secure whatever to the inside of the top. Maps? Trail books? Whatever?
