DIY crossover steering. which joints to use?

I've got plans for a crossover steering setup for my XJ. going to use the stock knuckles, tierod and draglink will bolt onto the top side of the knuckle. draglink and pass side tierod use the same mounting bolt. will use 1.5 or 1.25" tubing with 1/4" wall. im having trouble deciding what joints to use. I am looking for the brand of heim joint that lasts the longest WITHOUT CLUNKING. somebody have suggestions? thanks.

I cant imagine a better way of making the races than injection molded directly into the part.

Chromoly or carbon steel? chromoly seems nice and beefy but not sure if necessary in a steering setup.

Corrosion resistance is something to keep in mind
