I agree! What a nasty looking XJ. I have a 10" lifted 99 XJ and I'm in the same predicament: ALLLL the parts in my closet/backyard/room/boyfriend's house but hardly any of them on. Mine's built for mud, but still! AWESOME.

Thank you much, that seems to be how it works, buy buy buy until you have a pile about yay high, then start installing/fabricating. Tis the way of custom cars, buy buy buy, work work work, test/break repeat How is you rig coming along? sounds like it will be quite the beast.

Awesome.
I really wish I had that kind of time and money. I'd love to go drive JeepSpeed.

the front clip is completely boxed with 3/16" plate, i then welded the bumper in 3 places to the front clip using 1.5"x.120" dom tubing and some 1/8" plate with holes for rosettes, it is going to have a small skid to protect my steering and sway bar that will tie into the stock sway bar mount, it will then be welded to the front engine cage by the steering box bolts, and finally it will be connected to the mid hoop in the engine bay with more removable flanges making the center engine cage removable, and with some work, the bumper itself. jeepspeed rules say you have to have the stock bumper in there somewhere, or a readily available aftermarket bumper which there is no way I will pay for.
thanks
chris
