Dez Racer XJ build

how they started, 1985 pioneer chassis with 1991 HO drivetrain donor

the cage 1.75" x .120" DOM:

the motor donor experiencing some sawzall:

started with a rustys 8" long arm kit, ended up removing it and selling it for the much stouter Full Traction long arms

also tried RE drop brackets and adjustable arms, they were also removed/replaced

rolling mock up with final suspension and glass fenders

ford 9" showed up, 35-spline shafts and full steel spool:

MORE bombproof block mounts:

Thanks, intense is right, had about 4-5 guys constantly helping me when it was tear down/thrash/frenzy time but now that it is the time consuming fab stuff and prep, I am a one-man builder, had to learn lots of tricks to do the three and four handed heavy jobs, with only 1 free hand. I will post in the XJ forum when I am able to post pics,

after a little massaging got the new front end in and it rolls again, next we are going to tackle the seats and harnesses.
