destaco latch

My rear tire carrier is currently secured using, essentially a giant bolt with a handle through it. I'm interested in using. De sta co latch just don't know if it will work on the position ill need it to. What do ya think?

I would have to mount it vertically. Would that be ok?

My first iteration of my rear bumper I tried the verticle application of the commonly used destaco latch.

imo I wouldn't do it again, it does work, but it will always have abit of play in it, and that'll just wear down the components faster. If you want to switch to the destaco latch go for the angled application. Bserk bumper for example.
