If I had time to go pick them up!! I'm going there tomorrow, with all 3 kids, and drove the avalanche. Half way there now, thinking about running home and grabbing my truck, but my wife would kill me, especially after dropping $1500 on rcvs for my 44. Any jeepers in the cities looking for a deal? If they are still up this weekend I'll buzz down and pick them up, still 260 miles though.

I wouldn't want them for a few good reasons..I have a 2000 F250 ...and the ONLY difference in a F250,F350 of those years were the springs only........
for 1,they have a "sealed Hub Bearing Unit"..which means you can't service the bearings, once they go out,it's 250-300.00 a pop per side for either Moog or Timken replacements,if you go with the cheap ones from autozone,Oreilly's,advance auto etc for around 100.00 per side, they "might" last 1 year on even just a daily driver..ask me how i know....
You can buy an upgrade system called the DynaTrac which makes them servicable and has stronger components..for anywhere between $1500.00 to $2000.00............
Dynatrac - Confidence to ExploreŽ
DYNATRAC 99-04 Ford Free-Spin Heavy-Duty Hub Conversion Kit
There is also the problem of the early 99 fronts ( if i remember correctly,up to 3/99)having even weaker links in the front axle such as smaller brakes and the hub units were smaller and weaker.. and alot of folks were spending the money to upgrade them to the newer type
Check into the tag on the front one real close and research it,some in those years were the Dana 50's and easily mistaked for the Dana 60's,mine has a Dana 50.....
I'm by far an axle "expert"....just speaking of what i've went through with mine and what i found out researching when mine needed new unit hub bearings...
How's that old bus and trailer doin towin?

Thank you, lll pass then lol. Bus works amazing, now my hired man uses it to pull his race car around. Only issue is it says 70 mph, but runs 65 topped out on gps, well it went 68 downhill with a tailwind once. It rides great, pulls great, all the passengers loved it, stressful as hell to drive. I put 50 gallons in and it started bending the side compartment on a really rough road, we strapped it, but it still had me pretty stressed out.

I'm a bit late to post in your thread (and the CL ad has expired). So my info may not be of much value to you.
I decided to go with an 88 1/2 to 91 1/2 Ford driver drop kingpin HPD60 from an F350. In a YJ, these are a pretty good axle to go with.
Install thread is here: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/h...tions-1216015/
