custom dash

what type of metal should i use to make the dash frame? Steel? If so what kind?

if you're just looking for something to attach the facing panels to then i'd say some 12 or 14 ga mild steel. i believe the stock plates are 16 ga, but why not beef it up a bit while you're at it. no need to do anything fancy and when you start mixing metals you run the risk of galvanic corrosion where they meet.
