custom bumper questions

ok so i finally persuaded a metal shop to make me a custom bump, and was wondering if their was a standard on what size metal to use a lot of the name brand companies use 3/16 size metal and i want to make sure that will do. the bumper is basically going to look like the stock bumper but with tabs welded to it and angled cut on the sides which brings me to my next question whats a good angle i am currently running 33's but want to upgrade to 35's and finally my last question will the stock bolts be strong enough for pulling me out if i need to or should i upgrade those too. i will post pics as soon as it is finished. thanks for looking and answering sorry for the long post

I use 2"x4"x3/16" wall rectangular tube for all my bumpers. It's a pretty good compromise between strength, weight, and cost. Grab some Grade 8 bolts for attaching the bumpers. They're cheap insurance.
