It's simply two rows of 2"x2" steel welded to angle iron brackets that I bolted to the fram in the stock bumper mount locations. The top bar is longer than the bottom and I capped the ends by welding in small square plates and grinding smooth. The bottom bar is shorter and is where I welded on heavy duty D-ring mounts, welding the mounts to both the top and bottom bars. I cleaned it and coated it with POR15. Next week I'm going to coat it with Herculiner. Looks primative but it's solid.
Man we think alike, both have jeeps and both have Chevelles. Good looking '72 you have there, mine is a 70' SS 454. You find more people like yourself everyday. Trevor
