ill try to answer your questions

the windshield support bars get welded at the rear and the bolt-on flanges get welded to the front to allow the windshield to still be unbolted
the pieces on the side of the dash get bolted on , the dashbar goes in between those , then the short bar goes in between the dash bar and the windshield support bars , hope that helps
