bender die selection help

I need some help selecting which dies to get for the bender im going to be using. Im looking at the JD2 M32 bender, and i want to be bending 1.5" OD, unsure of the wall thickness. Not sure which set of dies to get. I see there are different ones for how wide the bend is and degree of bends. I want to be able to make tube doors, bumpers, and control arms for my jeep. Anyone have experience with that style of bender that could help me figure which dies i should get?

get the 240* dies. always nice to have the ability to bend sharper angles than to be limited by your die.

and the CLR (center line radius) depends on what you are doing and personal preference. I use a 1.75 x 6" CLR die. it is nice for stingers and general fab, but when doing interior cages a smaller CLR would be handy for working in the tighter spaces.

I'd recommend 1.25" for doors/fenders and 1.75" for everything else (especially cages). I have 5.5" CLR for both sizes. Completely agree with above that you want dies that can bend greater than 180 degrees.

BTW, I would not use 0.120 wall tube for control arms except maybe uppers. You should be using 0.25 wall which means you will need the hydraulic ram upgrade.

Thanks for all the info. I prob won't be making control arms right away, but I may bend them a little when I do start making them. I may go with a 1.75" or even 2" die for those though.
