Where do you mount the fairlead though?
Usually those types of bumpers come with a fairlead bracket that bolts between the winch and the bumper and you attach to it.

Is this a tucked style bumper, where the winch sets back inside the grill area?

That's right. There is a sandwich plate.

No it fits our 9000 lbs winch. No mods. It's as tight as we can get it. I hate winch bumpers that stick in the next time zone. I can not speak for other winches.

Ares Fabrication (Best Quality Parts)

Just wanted to give my thanks to James and Ares Fabrication. My Evolution Wench Bumper came in today and it was exactly what I wanted. See I work in Indonesia and trying to conduct business from over here can be a real challenge. With me working here and living in the states, James was patient, professional and hopefully became a friend from this one transaction. I think we both walked away also learning something. Which is always a positive!

At any rate, I will be purchasing again (rear bumper tire carrier & Roof Rack) in a couple months and I again look forward to a great experience, service and professionalism James provides. His product reflects his attitude and who he is as a business owner operator and person. Thanks James and personal, for the great bumper and customer service.

Thanks to NUTnBUTnXJ, you are on my radar. I will be in the market someday for a set of bumpers that maintain a stock(ish) look, and your nostalgia rear XJ bumper appears to do just that. If you're capable of making a front bumper that's similarly "stockish" (Warrior Products' front bumper is the best look I've seen for a pre-97 XJ), then you'll probably make some money from me someday especially if if the bumpers tie-in to the uni-frame strongly enough to really help-out with rigidity of the vehicle and to provide towing (as it appears the rear can).

Bonus points if a front bumper design can maintain a stock-like look AND doesn't force me to remove my air dam or cut my fender flares.

This has been such a long process with this bumper. But finally here it is. A WJ winch bumper.

Looks great. I would take another pic with out the license plate of to be able to really see the lines. If I had a WJ I would be placing an order.
