83 CJ7 spring under/over swap

I have a 83cj7, the axles are currently located over the leaf springs, I was wondering if anyone has relocated the axles to under the leafs for more tire clearance and a small inexpensive lift? Only real issue I see with this is making an adapter for the steering knuckles.

Opinions please.

My wallet would beg to differ with Spring Over Axle being inexpensive. A high steet kit, most likely an sye, axle wrap bar, cv driveshaft. You can do a SOA on the cheap, but you will run into little problems down the line. I have to redo mine from the previous owner doing it incorrectly.

Going to cost you at least $1200 to do an soa lift closer to $2500 if you can not fab your own parts.
