The shops moving forward. Since my face is broken I cant do much, but one of my friends is helping me out and we got all the frame cross members up. Just need to do the back wall and put up the plywood and I have a covered area. Just need to add sidding at that point. Its getting closer.

Progress and sum of numbers so far.

10 yards of concrete.
250 feet of rebar
400 feet of 2-3/8 x 3/16wall tubing.
30 sheets of 4x8 plywood
30 2x4x20ft boards
7 2x6x20ft boards
30 4x4x 1/8"thick brackets welded to 2-3/8" tubing
370 2-3/4" Self tapping metal screws drilled into 3/16 wall hardened steel.
400 2" long wood deck screws.
53 Cuts with the Circular saw

I cant do any of the work since my face is broken, all I can do is count the amount of materials my friends use to put this thing together. Hand them beer/tools, and count the amount of money its costing me. Good thing is they charge beer, and Ill do a couple of fabrication projects for them once the shops up.

Anyway heres ALOT of progress.

Look at what I got for free. I converted it to be able to plug into an extension cord and Im building a stand for it so that its mobile and we can just roll it to us in the shop.

Oops. Somebody forgot the straightedge.

Also, you know that swamp coolers require a constant water source to run, right?

Lookin' good man. I'm envying you. I just moved to a place without a garage at all. Now I'm missing my dirt-floor garage.

Nah didn't forget the straight edge, just had to do a rough cut on the R panel with electric sheers.... Its a lot harder then u think it would be. Also we have a pool and a 5 gallon bucket, I just pour some water from the pool into the cooler whenever Im working in there and have to use it. So far ive only used it twice. Seems to hold 5 gallons for about a week.

Dang. Electric shears? I would've just used a jigsaw or an angle grinder.

Chlorinated water's gonna kill the pads and the pump. I bet it smells nice and fresh though.

Being broke sucks, its making this go by soooo slow. Had to build my own garage door, cost 75 bucks, plus 150 for the spring setup. Couldn't find any other doors on craigslist that were 12wx8h and a roll up door is about 900 with shipping. Cannot afford that any time soon so this will have to do this winter. As long as it seals im good. Plus I can reuse the springs once I get a good garage door.
