I took the tarps off this morning and there was water on top of the concrete but none on top of the tarps. It didnt rain so I know its not rain water but water that came up from the concrete. Is that good or bad?

Pic of the concrete.

Water on top of the slab is typical. its either condensation or the water leaving the slab, it bleeds out the top and bottom. Did you cure the slab with a spray cure or mist it with water prior to covering?

no, however we did mist it with water right before the final float.

Ok. Thanks, tonight it's gonna get down to 32 degrees and this week it's supposed to get down to 40s during the days and 27 at night for a few nights in a row. It's already been sitting for 3 days in 55 degree temps and at nigh it's been in the 40s. Will there be any issues with it being uncovered? I won't be around to cover it.

Been a month. Got the expansion joints cut out and haven't seen any cracks. Hopefully it stays that way. Well see what happens once it gets to 125 outside this summer. Works been slow so I haven't been able to buy that much so Ive just been buying what I can from each paycheck. So far Ive got the 2x4s and 2x6s for the roof. I need to buy 10 sheets of osb next then the metal roofing and Ill atleast have a covered concrete area. At this rate unless work picks up Im hoping to have it finished by this coming winter.

Just my two cents worth, but you started building a carport and now you have a garage. What happened?

Man I wish I had a concrete floor! I'm going to be building a shed and possibly a garage later on down the line. I'd love to put a concrete floor under the garage like you did.

Ive ordered all the metal and wood for the shop, it should be in today or tomorow. However the building might be delayed. I broke every bone between my upper teeth and forehead. Cheater pipe hit me in the face at about 50-90 mph. Im able to move and talk but straining seems to put alot of pressure on my face. Lol hopefully itll still be finished by winter.
