There is usually numbers cast into the rebar somewhere along it. I wouldn't worry about the grade of the bar. Usually the higher grade is for the government cause money is no object for them.

Im asking because I supposedly bought grade 60. Atleast I bought it on the computer in the office. Then I walked out to their shop and when I asked the guy handing it to me if he grabbed the grade 60 or 40 he responded with."Idk I grabbed from the rack on the computer, we just started carrying rebar.". Ive bought from them before and theyve givin me the wrong od tubing before. I was just wanting to know if I paid for stronger and got screwed.

That had to be noisy as crap using a plate tamper on rock. I pity your ears.

Looking good otherwise!

Gotcha if it's 60 there should be a 60 or a 6 with a 0 under it stamped on the bar somewhere . There will also be some letters and a 4 stamped. The letter is who made it and the 4 will be the size (4=1/2", ) . There should also be a straight line running the length of the bar cast into the bar,

About as noisy as a lawn mower. It doesn't make any loud metal on rock noises surprisingly. I didn't hear the metal or rock at all.

Wow, I've used one on dirt before and hit a big rock. I thought I broke the thing it was so loud.

Looks good are you going to make two pours? Reason I ask is if you pour it all at once you either have to A. leave the 24 between the two pours in the concrete or B. Pull it out once you are done screeding the concrete and fill it in with concrete.

I was just gonna fill it in with concrete later. Itll be a bit before I put the metal roofing on anyway.

Got the concrete poured today. Picture doing a squat for about 2 hours and sawing you arms and shoulders back and forth. I'm not doing this again. Ill have pics tomorrow. They guessed and quoted me almost an entire yard too much. So I made a half-a#$ ramp. I had the truck at my house for 2.5 hrs. Only charged me 20 bucks more since they showed up 45 minutes late. Also made the truck driver help us do everything.

I was so fed up working in rocks and dirt. My jack stands where always questionable on if they would stay put, I was always muddy, I couldn't roll anything, I would work in snow/rain/-20 temperatures, and moving around a 500 lb welder got old QUICK. I was gonna touch another vehicle until I got a good hard flat surface to work on.
