Yj YJ Vacum and Wiring???

Hey guys,

I am in the middle of swapping out my 4.0 for a carbV8 in my 95 YJ. I am trying to make the swap as neat as possible. I have started cutting the non-essential wires out like the Fuel injection, etc. I noticed there was a hook up in the top center of the hood where the vacuum hoses met, it had a electric hook up that was green and had three male ends on it. What is this? Can i get rid of it? I must note, I have replaced the front 4x4 actuator with a cable operated version so to my understanding I no longer need the vacuum system for the 4x4. So you know I am running a Carb'd 350SBC, TH400 trans, and NP231 w/ HD chain.

Any suggestions you guys have will be appreciated.

Semper Fi,

I'm in the middle of a motor swap myself on my 94 YJ. I'm i need of a 4.0L YJ PCM do you still have yours and are you willing to part with it? My YJ was born a 2.5 and i'm going to a 4.0 and need a PCM and in my area they are hard to come by.

Talk to you soon

Better late than never?

I believe the vacuum hook up and green electrical connection is for the MAF sensor for the factory engine.
