Tj stroker - V8 - turbo - supercharger

After many months of research a desission has been made. My 2004 tj will be receiving a V8. All the parts have arrived. Doner car was a 2000 camero Z28 with LS1 340 HP and 4L60E. Radiator set up from champion, adapters from Novak, More to come

Are you planning to stroke/turbo the LS1? That would make for a beastly engine.

No just swap in the V8, that will be enough power for me know.

Then why did you have those words in the title?

The Chevy V8 should be a beast in your Jeep. One of these years I want to drop a 5.3 in my TJ (prob in about 3 years). Good luck on the swap!

I looked at stroking the 4.0 or adding a turbo or a super charger. after all the research we decided a V8 would be my best choice. Cost, aviability and weight we chose the LS1 over a hemi.

Work begins on the V8 swap, we are replacing the trunion bearings, water and oil pump, rear main and all seals. Replacing stock exhaust manifolds with block hugger shorty headers. 4L60 will be torn down and checked and rear output adapter shaft installed.
