Another option would be to run CJ outers. Meaning the knuckles out, or even Chevy knuckles with CJ stubs, brakes, and spindles.

I used 79 Ford hubs and rotors on my front Scout D44 axle. You have to have Chevy/FSJ small bearing spindles to work with the Ford hubs and rotors. I know you can find those spindles on 73-76 Chevy K10s and 74-76 Waggys. I don't know if those spindles can be found in any other years. You can use Chevy/FSJ knuckles and calipers from any disk brake axle from the early 70's through the 80's at least. If you ever go SOA you will need flat top knuckles which come from the same year vehicles as the chevy small bearing spindles. Note that K20 trucks can have flat top knuckles but they will not have small bearing spindles.

My local 4x4 store found high steer knuckles for my 44 so I could use my 8 hole spindles. I mocked up my axle and set all my angles before I welded anything

What do you guys recommend for the front pinon angle, keep it close to the stock dana? Can I use my stock drive shaft?
