mopar 360 in cj swap

i need to know what trans to use in my 76 cj7 that i am installing a mid 70s 360ci mopar engine in. I have a dana T-300 transfer case that i plan to use just not sure what tranny to use since i'm really a chevy guy and dont know alot about mopar. Just got a deal on this 360 that i couldn't pass up.

Man you are real limited there. You can look for a Dodge NP435 but you will need adaptors for the transfercase, Autos you could look for a 904 or a 999 but you will need a Dodge pattern, not a AMC pattern then adaptors for the transfercase. Early Mopar 360 (Dodge) don't share much in common with the AMC 360 or the later 1998 Mopar 5.9 (360).

Thanks for the info and boy are you tellin me about limited but like i said i got this eng for free out of an rv with 35k original miles on it and in my book you just can't beat free. But if it looks like its going to be to much problem i'll probably just trade this motor and trans for a good 350/350 combo. I have the trans out of the rv as well but i'm not sure what it is i cant find any numbers on it for identification and dont know much about mopar.

my thoughts thinking of installing a 318 in my 82 cj8....i think a 904 auto tranny with like a 999 tailpiece to boltup to my dana 300 might work but i dont really expensive adaptors to buy,,,,assuming this idea will work and these parts are on here looking for help on this also...goodluck...

Your most economical solution is probably going to be sell or trade the 360 for a sbc or amc

77 CJ-7- AMC 360, Edelbrock cam, MC2100, Fenderwells, CJ T18/D20, Chevy D44/EB 9" rear, Trutrac f/r, 4.11, SOA, 1.25 lift shackles, 35x12.50 BFG KM2s, Shackle Reversal

Mopar has used the same transmission bell bolt pattern and crank bolt pattern on all their small blocks into the modern era.
The 1970's 360 has the same bell housing pattern as a 2013 hemi.

'97 zj 5.2, some stuff, some other suff, and some things that even work sometimes.
