Help with my dlemma

I purchased a waggy axle this weekend. It has brand new 4.56 gears and ARB installed with a really nice pattern on the ring gear. The PO welded a spring perch on top of the cast section (not sure about this) and the length between perches is 32 inch. I'm looking to buy either the Blue Torch fab or Poison Spyder full axle kit which accommodates 31 1/4 between perches.

Alright, here is the dilemma. I previously bought a K5 blazer dana 44 (impulse buy). The knuckles are at WFO concepts being machined for high top steering. Should I tear apart the waggy and put it in the K5 axle (Iím not very proficient at setting up gears, but have access to tool to complete the job) which is already setup for SOA? It looks as if I would have to cut down both sides of the K5 housing to make this work, but I'm not sure how much. Also, the PO converted the waggy to the 5.5 lug pattern, which I could just put on the Chevy knuckles (I may be wrong with that logic). Thanks for any advice.

The perch welded to the center section can work fine. it depends on how it was executed. if it were me, and unless it looked excellent, I'd redo it. I'd just use the waggy assembly under your circumstances.

Thanks for the advise. Though, I've decided to use the K5. I cut off the outer Cs today (what a PITA!!). I have to find a shop to cut the tubes and weld them back on. Though the gears have a good pattern, I wanted to take them out to check everything. I just don't trust the PO. The first indication was the hub were installed incorrectly. Anyway, thanks.
