Dana 70-2U

I just picked up a Dana 70-2U with a BOM # 6605509-8 rear 3.54 ratio 1 ton out of a 1993 Dodge D300.... I paid $125 and couldnt pass it up.... but my question is can I get a ring gear set above a 4.56 , and i dont mind changing the carrier... Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can, after 4.56's is 5.13's, 6.17 and 7.17, there is no 5.38 for the dana 70.

The U models use the same R&P as any other 70 just, its the tubes, housing and bearings that differ.

1993 YJ 4.0 60 Front, Rear steer 60, bolth spooled, 5.38's, 700r/241 39.5 iroks and beating it like it owes me money.

And on the 8th day, God created the 14 bolt...

Thanks for the information.... man I was starting to panic that I wasn't gonna be able to get 5.13's for it...cuz I really wanted the Dana 70 under the rear.... I was looking for a 14 bolt but this one kinda fell into my lap and I was what the hell it'll be distinct. I was in the garage earlier drinking a beer kinda checking it out and there isn't that much of a lip to shave off. Im gonna get an iron Dana 60 cover for it since its smaller diameter / same bolt pattern and shave it to that. Im gonna go with Ford F350 Dana 60 for the front and planned on moving front axle forward 6-8" with a Daves Custom Unlimited full-width axle kit.... Do I have to move the rear axle back for it to function properly, as in the driveshaft will be too short due to longer diff housing?...Thanks again for all the help!
