Cruise control

I am planning ahead while a shop is swapping in a 1991 GM TBI connected to an AX-15 connected to a Dana 300X-fer case

I am retaining the GM steering column and cruise along with the computer from the donor truck

My question is how do I feed the computer the info it needs to get the cruise working ? I am trying to retain the stock guages

I have heard a pulse generator will work since it hooks on the speedo cable

I am at a loss of what to do I dont want to go without crusie since that was one thing I planned on , I see people have done it so its not impossible

any help please
