Charcoal cannister

My cj7 had the can removed by the po. The engine is a 5.3 and the fumes are bad. Any recommendations for a small compact canister?

Try this. You might have to mod it a little depending on how many ports you are needing.

My tank has 2 vent holes. Where would the other 2 go?

I am not sure what your emissions schematic looks like but your canister ports may be labeled right on the can. Just connect those two up to the ports on the new can and cap the remaining two off. That is if somebody hasn't been messing around with your configuration and the vacuum lines are in the correct locations. You might want to take a look at a repair manual for your Jeep and find out what your vacuum lines going to the can are. I am surprised you have only two lines going to your canister. Mine has four.

Sorry for the confusion. My jeep has been stripped of all hoses and lines going to and from my non existent canister . My tank has 2 vents on the drivers side.

I don't have my manuals with me. I am on the road till this weekend. If those two lines are the same as mine then one is a fuel vent line that goes from the tank to the canister to cover expansion and the other is a return line from your carb or fuel injection. I am not sure which you have. If they are uncapped then you will get a pretty strong fuel oder.
