Yj 78-79 hp d44 f250 gvw?

I'm looking at getting an F250 HP Dana 44 to slowly build for my Jeep.
I keep seeing a question pop up when I ask for one...is the GVW 3800 or 4500.
Is there a difference in the axle?

The 4500 axle is the dana 60, witch as you know was used in the F-250 camper special and the snow fighter. Thats were I think the confusion is coming from.

Just order parts for a HP dana 44, well of course from a Ford 44

Jason.

1993 YJ 4.0 60 Front, Rear steer 60, bolth spooled, 5.38's, 700r/241 39.5 iroks and beating it like it owes me money.

And on the 8th day, God created the 14 bolt...

The snow fighter was d60 4.10 gearing. Camper special is an f150 with front leaf springs and f250 hp44 with five lug outer hardware.
The 3800# gvwr is the hp44 equipped. It came with a wide variety of motors, transmissions, cabs, and beds.
4500# is the d60 equipped "super duty" of the day.

'97 zj 5.2, some stuff, some other suff, and some things that even work sometimes.
