there is a guy on pirate that is selling a camaro oil pan for$150 on pirate under engines/trannys/t-cases for sale that will fit your 5.3. Looks like compared to my truck pan it would remove 2-2 1/2 inches.

That would be awesome. For budget reasons ill probably wait till its running before I get a new oil pan. Can I get a pic of your tranny mount and motor mounts?

OK here are some pics of the motor mounts. On the 3 rd pic I posted is the back side against the frame it hangs down a little.

Here are some pics of tranny mount, remember this is a AX15 trans. What meant to say earlier, about the third pic on the post earlier about the oil pan you can see the motor mount hanging off of the frame.

Its a little late now for you, but before I pulled mine out I took lots of measurements of where the old engine and trans set. I then figured out how much longer the new one was then the old.I was 1 in longer then the old. I also already had my radiator and had it mounted on the grill assembly. But this is what I would do if you don't have rad. I would put your trans on your engine and set it in with the trans. Mount and/or skid plate where they belong, and see how things look underneath. Then find your engine height, with your cherrypicker. Set it where it looks good. Build cribbing underneath t oil pan and set it down slowly. Disconnect your cherry picker and see if the hood closes. If everything looks good tack the engine mounts and carefully remove the engine and trans. Then burn em in solid.

I think your auto trans is longer than stock. And I'm pretty sure you will have to change you driveline lenths . That will probably cost you $100 a piece. Have you chose a radiator yet.
