Yj 302 w/np435 question/opinion

Ok so I got motor and trans figured out 302 with np435 from a 85 f250 now I am looking for a transfer case. From what I'm thinking I am just gonna grab a tcase from mid 80s full size bronco since it will give me drivers side drop and a fixed yoke. Not sure if fsb will be a good source for rear driveshaft or not. Might have the 8.8 done before this swap is finished so ds might be pretty easy. But id like some opinions on tcase options.
And chevy parts are not an option ....lol
87 yj was 4.2 ax-15

Np435 4spd. Went with this due to strength and an extremely low granny gear. 6.68

Looking like the choice might be bw1356 has both yokes fixed and its easy to find if I break it.
Next weak link to do is the 8.8 rear

So planning to go searching in the bone yard for some options. The np435 has a 9" shaft...from the length I am figuring its divorced from the tcase. Does anyone know if there is any differnt lengths in divorce set up or it a one size for the np435?
I am pretty sure I'm gonna go with the BW1356 Sucks only cause there is no way to twin stick it. But its strong and light.
Got my motor mounts from advanced adapter

Some said not too good but they look really well done. Very thick and clean welds. Very happy with them.

LOL
It wont be near as long as you think.... Been done before...
The ax15 is longer but with the divorced tcase on the np435 it will be a little bit longer but keep in mind running the sm block ford its shorter (and lighter) than the 4.2 so I also have room for an inch or 2 of forward space. So loosing an inch or 2 underneath is not gonna be a deal breaker..
Overall .... gearing and strength plus power from the 302 will be worth it...
Raining... so no boneyard trip today.

the 1356 is a married setup . it will accept a bw t19 or a np 435 .make sure you have the later 80s on up bellhousing withe external slave cyl. the fixed yoke rear transfers were found in many f250 85 on up . the 302 is a nice setup with the np435 granny low.the np205 is a real nice crawling tc but is divorced and need almost 12inch extra of driveline to acomodate.

It's not what I "think", it's what I can measure laying in my back yard.

The BW1356 attached to a T18 is 24 1/4" from the rear of the transmission to the center of the rear yoke. 7 1/2" of that is a conecting spacer and transmission mount, That makes the BW1356 16 3/4" long by itsself.

I also have a Divorced NP205 out of a Ford. It measures about 15 1/2" from Yoke to toke. On top of that, you have to add the length of a rear output Yoke on the transmission AND a shaft to connect the transmission to the Divorced NP205.

The NP 435 is only about 5.7" shorter than the AX15. Just the spacer between the 435/1356 puts you almost 2" longer than the AX15 Transmission. Add the additional length and size of the BW1356 compared to an NP231, and you'll have a significant increase in length.

I'm not saying it can't be done or hasn't been done before, but you do need to take all things into consideration.

Any suggestions on what case to adapt to the np435? What are other people using who have chosen to use the np435?

$528 + shipping is why....Call me cheap but that much money can be well spent on other areas. Plus I want to get a tcase with a fixed yoke. I need it anyway.

Even bigger than that is with the 231j doesn't have the fixed yoke. I'm gonna have to do driveshafts no matter what and I am not gonna leave it with a slip yoke after all this work.
What are guys doing to fit the ford driveline in?

So are you saying that the 1356 is married to the np435? That would in turn make usable in length right?
