My R/C Crawler build

Starting my Wreckluse build. It's going to be slow.

The chassis showed up in the mail on Saturday. I took it to work with me today and started working on the tube work.

Ignore the clay holding the tubes in place. The light bar will be mounted a little lower in front of the top window frame.

I will be modifying the front fenders to be like the ones on my TJ.

Newest pic of my jeep

Older pic

And here are some of the parts that I will be ordering for the build.

Cool to see another RC'er on here, I've got a 2.2 Axial Jeep scaler myself....

Looks sweet Jeff! Looking forward to seeing a "MetalCloak'd" RC!

Guess I need to start building one!

Impressive stuff. I have a T-Maxx 3.3 myself. I keep breaking crap though, so i replace the broken with alum and it seems to just break more plastic faster. Sigh.

Wow, I used to be really into RC boats but I never knew RC cars could get this awesome. I'm super pumped about this. Mini Spyder Hi-9 lookalikes, transfer cases, and coil-overs? That's awesome.

Damn... I remember when you had two choices for an RC crawler. Tear apart a Juggernaut or steal a Clodbusters axles. I still have my Gecko chassis with Clodbuster axles somewhere... I lost interest with it all about the time the Tamiya TLT first came out.

Walked into an RC shop last week and there are at least 10 different pre-built kits. Pretty sick to see how it has progressed. I remember posting threads about bugging tire companies to make crawler specific tires... Now you can get BFG crawler look a likes. Just sick.

Almost makes me wanna go dump $1000+ into a new project. Almost.
