Jeep J8

Here's my version of a two-door J8.

Couple more shots from before I had finished the rear quarter panels.

An actual J8 for comparison:

Mine's missing the rear leaf-springs, but I might add them at some point.

The body is modified from an Unlimited. I cut rear seats out and reduced the roll cage. The rear deck and cab-back were built from scratch using styrene sheeting. The deck is coated with "truck-bed liner."
The rear quarter-panels are aluminum, and while technically functional, were built primarily to hide the rear doors.
The tool box is functional, and was purchased from Tractor Supply Company.

I have a second front bumper (full width), which I built from scratch, but the huge tires (scale 46") rub it, so I've stuck with the stock narrow one.

I built:
LCAs,
Steering linkage,
Rocker guards,
Quarter panels,
Fire extinguisher,
Shovel and ax,
Rear-view mirror,
Snorkel (broken off in most pictures),
4' Firestik and steel tail-light bracket,
CB radio (compact style) with steel bracket,
Bungee cords,
Front wheel-well liners, and
Snow-chains for winter.

I bought:
Axial SCX10 RTR
Axial 8-hole bead locks
Wide offset wheel hubs
Tool box
