Anyone here have RC rock crawlers?

Being a member of www.rccrawler.com i note that alot of people who have RC crawlers have real 4x4's.

do any of you guys have RC 4x4's?

I have a few of the wal-mart Nylint Jeep's. for 100 bucks these things are great. 4 wheel drive, locked differentials, and mini MT Baja Claws.

pretty sweet rigs. They come in 1:18 and 1:6 scale. They dont stand up to the TLT's and whatnot that people spend 100's of dollars on, but its a great toy to play around with and modify the crap out of.

Anyone else here have RC rock crawlers?

I have a traxxas nitro rustler, got it for my birthday a while ago. its only 2wd, but its alot of fun, and a little cheaper to run than my jeep. i even bought paddle tires and made skiis for the winter.

This thread has been done several times over, but, yes, I do have a few ... 3 of the 1/6 Nylints and 1 of the 1/18 Nylints.

Tube Chassis (in progress)

I have writeups on the tube chassis and the tummy tuck on rccrawler.com.

my 1:6 is stock but painted and i flipped the wheel brackets to squeeze the tires and i cut them

and my 1:18 is slightly modified, inboreded rear shocks, cut springs, flipped/cut tires, tummy tuck.

I just picked up a SCX10 Dingo Kit, I should have it 100% complete tonight. I have to Trim the Body, Assemble the cage, An install the body mounts, Then it will be finished.

Im powering it with a CC Sidewinder ESC & VXL Motor on 2S lipo. Hitec 645MG Steering Servo, And Spectrum 2.4ghz Radio . I added Wheel weights inside of the wheels, and to the rear crossmember. Sofar it crawls pretty good. I have to get a new castle link so I can reprogram the ESC for a Drag Brake, an to better Suit it for Crawling since it is set up for Short Course Racing now.

I am painting the body to look just like the Orange Dingo on the Kit's box, Once the black dry's I'll add the orange since it is slow at work I needed something to keep my busy.
