Thanks!

I'd call the body portion 60% done. Still need to finish wrapping the roll bars, patch/clean up the fenders, paint interior, and clearcoat/buff/wax the exterior. I might try to camo the seats, I've already matched the colors.

Then comes chassis and running gear, which makes my head spin.

i got one question for you.. when you started out was your chassi basically a big battery tray with the battery pack in it or is yours built with actual frame rails?

The chassis it came on is a big black plastic box with the motor and gears built into it. It can hardly run in grass. The "shocks" are solid plastic with a coil spring over them, but the don't compress.

I'm gonna buy/build a custom chassis and go from there.

Sorry to hijack this thread. I got big into the R/C crawling scene. Mine wasn't really scale or a sturdy molded body. Used a HPI Rubicon body...

Anyways, nice build. I'll be checking up on this!

It's sitting in my basement unfinished. I need to find someone to build a roller chassis for me because I just don't have the time to figure it out now.

Working 50+hrs, bartending 2 nights a week, planning a wedding (well, get dragged along to the appointments), putting time and money into the real Jeep, working around the house, etc. There's always something eating up my time and money, and I'm sure there always will be.
