Thinking about grillin this weekend.

It has been brought to my attention that a BBQ needs to be had, since I just spent two weeks out on the road with nothing but pure bull**** after bull****, I need something other than truck stop food... good food.

So far I'm thinking ribeye, grilled shrimp, asparagus (maybe kabobs), loaded mashed potatoes, sweet corn, and homemade dinner rolls.

I know how to cook all of the above, I just don't have any recipes to utilize.

Devil, if I were cooking kabobs I would probably be marinading them with Tiger Brand Hot Sauce .

What exactly are loaded mashed potatoes ?

You have probably cooked and eaten by now.

What did it end up being and how was it .

I like how I get 20 (literally) notifications about a single post in a thread, and then the one thread I actually care about... nothing.

I ended up not BBQing, got too busy with a lot of things like finally unpacking all the stuff in the garage from the move 7 months ago, and getting the garage squared away for wrenching duty. I had bratwursts with potato salad, corn, and biscuits the other night.

Loaded mashed potatoes are basically a loaded baked potato only mashed. Chives, sour cream, cheese, bacon bits, pepper, some salt, and anything else you might want to add.

I'm gonna keep that in mind for the kababs next time I'm in the mood for them, sounds like a good idea!
