Broke My Egg

On a somber note, I broke my big green egg. Left the casters unlocked. Lifted the lid. Walked away for ten seconds. Turned around and the egg was laying on the ground. Only thing I can think off was the weight of the lid made it start rolling towards the dirt. The wheels caught the dirt. End of the road. Lol

If it's only the one large piece you may be able to use some fire proof cement to repair it. It'll be ugly but functional again.

see if bge/mol can help. if not i like the glue. then i would just wrap the outside with some thick wood stove gasket material. like wrapping a rope around it, strickly to make it look better and hide the cracked area.

I've talked to quite a few egg heads. They pretty much say I'm screwed. The ceramics are guaranteed for life. But not when it falls over lol. That's not covered.

Ouch. I hate to think what I would do if something happened to my Weber performer grill. If I had a BGE, I would be much more upset. That is very unfortunate, and I wish you a speedy recovery. Even if the grill doesn't make it.

It's not an addiction. It's a way of life.

see if mol can hook you up with just the bottom section, might save a bunch of dollars as opposed to getting a new one.
