What happened with Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area?

So I went up there with a group of us guys on the forum here in 11. I really loved that place, I feel like days could be spent out there wheeling.

I was wondering if anyone had a desire to try and set up a ride to go wheel there? I haven't shot anything over to AOAA, but there website has a tour setup, witch it may be good to go up there again, the guide we had before was outstanding.

I believe they have all their approvals and are targeting a summer open.

There is some massive equipment on site and the project is moving forward! Check their website and their Facebook page. Good things are coming!

I am glad. That place could so easily be so awesome. My guess is the town would benefit greatly from it also. It has a lot of cool nature based stuff, and days worth of wheeling. I still wonder if someone could get another tour setup.

Zach, the person who set uou went up the tour you went up with, has set up a couple others I don't know if he is planning on setting up another any time soon. The last one was last July, we ended up prerunning some of the trails they used for the Jeep Jamboree in August.
