From my understanding alot of hotels were not booking up that weekend so you should be able to pull something.
Michael Ferrari Team 120 - DOR Racing - Racing for Operation Homefront
Operation Homefront (OHF) provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors. Thanks to our Sponsors: Delmarva Offroad - F-O-A Shocks - BD Turnkey Engine - Under Cover Fab - Jer-C Transmissions - Quigley Driveshafts
I was planning on coming down Friday - Saturday, however the hotel requires a two night stay, that's not in our budget. So either we will be staying elsewhere or not coming at all.
I did email the hotel to see if that could be waived, but no response yet.
I checked on that today and you can book just one night if you mention the promo code JEEP. The same holds true for booking a room on the Commander Hotel web site. Go to the web site and when booking your room use JEEP as the promo code and it will give you the discounted rate and allow you to book a single night.
As was mentioned before by MFERRARI, if you guys are staying overnight please try to support the Commander. The Commander Hotel has covered all of the legal expenses, insurance costs, food for the picnic, shirts, permits, etc, etc... to get this event off the ground. Please try to support the Commander and all of the other vendors listed on the Jeep Week web page while you are here in OC.
I am trying to go. But just a thought. Will someone be making shirts for the event
that is a great logo
Shirts are being printed with that exact color logo on the back. I am pretty sure that people staying at the Commander will end up getting one freebie in their goodie bag at check in and the rest will be available for sale at or near cost at the hotel and at the events.
Jason, I think they were just pickin on you and your wife that day. I have gone down there countless times without top and doors with my feet hanging out the door and never received a ticket.
I guess it all depends on the cops working at the time and if they want to be pricks.

Silver 2000 TJ Wrangler Sport
The 2008 Jeep Wrangler is not so much an SUV as it is an experience. It's slow and loud, handles poorly, has crummy interior materials and features doors that provide virtually no crash protection. But when it comes to off-road performance, the Wrangler is simply the best choice available.
