Took THREE different Harford County test but something always happens in the end.

You need more luck filling out the "this is your life" book.

Well, hopefully the physical test won't cause me much trouble since I'm in pretty good shape. But who's knows. Being a bartender for the last 3 years probably won't excite them.

Did that whole process around '95. I passed every state/county/city exam with flying colors, until I had a Md State Police Captain tell me why I wasn't being hired all over the state.

"Son, you have two qualities that you cannot change that prevent you from being hired in law enforcement."

"Oh?"

"You're white and you're male."

So I became a teacher. Think I've actually seen more violence also . . .

Honestly, I love it. I need to get a pic of our parking lot at school. Smallest tired truck is a 33" BFG A/T'd Duramax Dually. Largest is 38" Boggers cummins. All of my seniors (and our school population) are 92% farmboys and country girls, so they'll get 'em dirrrrty. Funny thing is, the girls tend to have bigger trucks than the boys.

As far as actually teaching, I teach English (British and American Lit). Most of the kids hate it, but you just have to be creative to get them into it. Some of the projects I had them do:
  • iPod playlist for characters from Romeo and Juliet
  • Custom license plates reflecting characters from Macbeth
  • Creating MySpace pages for characters from The Scarlet Letter
  • Write their own 'scary' story after analyzing The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, then comparing and contrasting the Disney version of the movie with Tim Burton's/ Johnny Depp's version

I've only wanted to be one of two things in life...

1) COP. I tried the cop thing five times, as previously stated. I failed miserably. something always seemed to go wrong somewhere. Once I couldn't complete the sit-up test. Twice I couldn't complete the "Book of your life" in ten days. And once I completed the physical with flying colors but when we were done, we went into a hot room with no a/c and I threw up every where. So, I gave up on that.

2) ROCK STAR. I've been playing guitar since I was 8. I grew up on AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, the Stones, etc.etc. I grew up on 80's metal - and not like Poison, Warrant, or any of those other fake bands - I'm talking Slayer, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Anthrax, yadda yadda. I was in a band in highschool. I was in a band right out of highschool. I was in a band in my twenty's and I was in a fairly successful local band from 1999-2001.

I've never truly given up on the band thing, infact, we still jam from time to time and I practice almost everyday. But I'm 36 and there aren't too many metal bands (young or old) being discovered now-a-days unless you're phenominal at the guitar. Now, you've either got to be very young (Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift) or very dance-oriented (Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas).

What I'm trying to say is... If you're young and truly want to do something with your life GO FOR IT BEFORE IT PASSES YOU BY!!!!

I will shut up now....

I'm guessing its how old you are? Your age is just a #, just that, or maybe ya got to be young'en, I don't know?

I've got friends younger than me, and some older than me, age is just a #.

Maybe I'm just not what u r looking for???? Don't know.

Give me some insight on this matter, PLEASE!!!

If Lee Iacocca is still alive, then send him over to my place, so I can kick him in the nuts!
