I had a problem with an online pre-order at my local advance auto just recently. Everything was in-stock when I ordered it online and their computers showed them as having 2 of everything I needed but they only had 1 on the shelf. They had no clue what to do and I myself had to get on the phone and talk to the manager of the advance about 15 min away to get the situation figured out. they were completely incapable of finding my parts lol

My favorite is "do you need an inner or an outer tie rod end"

Or...
"Hi, I need a part that has nothing to do with the number of doors my vehicle has or the size of the engine."
"Ok, I'll be happy to help you. 2 or 4 door? V6 or V8?"

"What can I do for you?"
"I need some brake parts."
"vehicle?"
"jeep-ish: wagoneer axle, ford hubs, F250 rotors, dodge Dakota drums."
"we don't sell that."

Yea, that's why I've gone to pre-ordering what I need online and just picking up in stores. I knew if I went in asking for brake parts for a late 90s jeep grand cherokee with discs to retrofit onto a D44 out of an '89 XJ that is going underneath a '98 wrangler that I would just get blank stares from anyone I could talk to in-store

Mike is you are going to the stores in Salisbury, both autozone and advanced are terrible. Napa is pretty good though. They know me that when I walk in with a brake caliper they just bring back to the brake shelves so we can match what I need since nothing goes on it's intended vehicle haha.

No it wasn't here haha, it was the advance in Germantown. Although I have had problems with the Autozone right across from campus...

The salisbury autozone is awful. I walked in looking for shocks for a lifted zj and the guy tried to sell me shocks for a 7 inch lift thinking that was the only component to a lift kit.

You should, in no way, take any of this personally. It's just business. So to recap, I come in peace, I mean you no harm, and you all will die. Gallaxhar out.
