Whts up guys, just sorta wanted to do an update, i had a bit of an accident and now im swapping out my axle for a non-broken d30. Lemme tell ya it is such a pita. Lots of these bolts are so hard to unscrew. Anyways my jeep might be outta commision for a while, but do any of you know where i could sell my old axle like junkyard wise?

A metal recycler might give you some cash for the metal. Are there any parts you can still use? Brakes, brakelines, unitbearing, etc? Anything you can keep for trail spares?

Here's a ****-ton of places near Baltimore that could take it:
Md Recycles

Give some a call and see who will take it, (and then buy us all beer with that cash).

Ill sell it to you but you will have to replace a bent lower control arm mount. I dont really have any welding skills yet so thats why i went with an axle swap, plus i get some experience working on my jeep. Once i have the axle out i can send you pics of it if you like.

I really wish I had a pic of what ice can do to a truck.

A year ago, January 8th, me and my friends went up and he tried to find a different way around Lake Christy because he didn't like the hill me and my other buddy had to deal with. Well, he drove into a hole, threw it in reverse(we were yelling to just shut it off because the water was over the drivers side hood) and as he came back up a 6" thick sheet of ice completely demolished the drivers side of the truck. Ripped the head lights off and smashed the fender and door in.

I think everyone felt too bad for him to take a picture. Ugh.

We were at Paragon some years back and a YJ up there went barreling through a frozen puddle and jammed a 3" piece of ice through his radiator and ripped vent lines off his front axle. Bad stuff.....
