Gaithersburg/MV area. Just bought a 2000 XJ that needs work (DIY stuff thankfully). I'm new, kinda...joined before I knew I'd have a Jeep.

Howdy folks. Just moved here from Hawaii, picking up a YJ this weekend. Hopefully it will run as well Sunday as it did on the test ride yesterday.

actually havent been involved much since moving here to Preston 6 months ago, their by laws you must reside 6 months, and my application came up this month, but I pulled it, because we recently decided we are moving back to just outside Pittsburgh... where the wife and I are both from. However when I lived outside Salisbury I was very involved and EMS LT at Parsonsburg. Your bout to find out just how frustrating MFRI will be... you can PM me if you want to know b4 getting into it

Out there, you can certainly be the big fish in the little pond, but the mainland is pretty much the big pond...with lots and lots of places to roam.
You been a islander your whole life?
