Maryland trail run at the end of may

Hey all. Trying to get a group together for a good trail run end of may early june. Preferably June 5th or 6th. Looking for something kinda close. Within 1.5 hours or so from capital raceway. Or annapolis area if you dont know where capital is.

Rausch Creek is your best bet. There is nothing local.

Or greenridge, but its just a fire road. Other then that, Rausch is your best bet, its over 1.5 hours though.

There is a place in Granite that was advertising on craigslist, apparently has a few miles of atv and jeep trails. The guy wanted $25 (what it said in the ad) to ride all day. I don't have a clue where Granite is and I never called the number they listed. This is what I got when I emailed whoever was in charge of the CL ad
Quote:
its only a few miles of trail but trails are tight you can go through creeks and def a challenge, you can come for $15 and you will def have fun come out today check it out 240 401 ****
The name of the ad
Quote:
Granite mx supercross track atv / jeep trails wood course. motocross - $25 (woodstock)
Edit; I'm not sure if granite is an actual place or a road or what

Don't forget about ESJA wheelin land

Located just north of Salisbury MD which is just about 1.5 hrs away from you. $20 gets you all day, we have some cleared land for camping. Mostly mud obstacles with some technical stuff along the way.

We can set up a date if you wanted to come down. I am sure we will have a few guys that will be willing to wheel with ya.

Check out the website for more info (link in sig)

The private property is what you should be focusing your attention on. Make a trail, dig some holes, stack up some logs and rocks. That way you know 100% it's legal. Four wheeling is always fun until someone says "the cops are on the way." It's not illegal because "the man" is trying to keep four wheelers oppressed, it's illegal because it belongs to someone else. How often do you park in someone's driveway without their permission? Same concept.

I'm not trying to lecture you, just a warning. I was caught once when I was 16 and luckily I didn't get in any trouble but it was pretty scary, to know my truck could have just been taken away. Definitely learned my lesson.

What's also sad is this article - what the heck was everybody doing in 2003?? Sleeping??

They were caught illegally wheeling and 14 rigs had to pay a $500 trespassing fine.

So they were wheeling illegally and THEN tried to establish it as an offroad park? Doesn't sound like an effective plan.

Not the same spot.

They used to always go to this spot in Crofton that was quite illegal. They posted directions on the forum and the cops were there waiting when they arrived. Not the brightest crayons in the box.
