Any news?

Sent from the depths of hell.

I'm not saying we should kill stupid people... Just get rid of all the warning labels...
If you find my comments to "infer" something, they don't. Go to hell.

Nothin new to report. Come Fall and given the upcoming holidays, meetings have been put on hold until january or so. For what it is worth, most of the DNR is tied up with hunting season right now. Since that is a revenue turner for the state, priorities are there as of now.

I'll update everyone when I get some news in January.

Today is the last day of Duck season. Right now, DNR is overwhelmed with hunting season(s). I'll be sure to update when I hear more news.

Can you give me more information about these meetings? are they public? Where do they take place and who exactly is meeting? Is anything actually able to be decided there or is it purely discussion?

They are not public. The Department of Natural Resources selected about 20 or so people in all walks of the OHV/ outdoor community: offroaders, snowmobilers, equestrians, hunters, etc, and even members from the EPA and timber and mining groups. The meetings have taken place in Western Maryland and nearly the entire group has met for approximately a year or so. Several sites continue to be raised in discussion as potential areas for more 'State Sponsored' outdoor recreation. The offroading community generally takes a back seat to most of the discussion, due to the massive amounts of illegal wheeling, trailblazing, and destruction that has taken place in not only State Parks, but in state owned areas as well. But DNR understands that whatever areas are opened will include OHVs, to include full size rigs, not just quads or side-by-sides.

Not to sound rude but what made them choose you? Do you work for the local govt or something?
