I'll update everyone with specifics in a little bit.

We're having a meeting end of this month to look at options for opening a Md OHV park.

We're moving along!

We would like you to add and/or reaffirm our list by responding with potential sites that you would like us to consider. I will compile the total list and use that as the basis for our initial discussion.

We will meet for the first time to review the list. We’ll use a variety of maps (online and hardcopy) to guide this first discussion with a goal to accomplish the following:
Eliminate some sites immediately due to immoveable legal or practical issues.
Set-aside other sites that might have complex conflicts requiring additional time/consideration to overcome.
Identify priority potential sites, move them to the top of the ‘stack’ and make plans to visit them immediately and on-site.
There is about 20 of us who will meet later this month to get the ball rolling.

edit: Please feel free to PM me any sites, legal or illegal, that you know of that Md can look at to ether purchase or use for a park.

Thanks.

Do any areas you know of seem promising? I don't need names or anything, I just want to hang on to my last bit of hope that a place exists.

Just an update from some DNR cops...

We went to green ridge for the weekend to camp. Some DNR guys came down talking about our site being big for target practice... anyway, he said something about thinking the trails will eventually open up in some form or fashion. He said they're also looking into some out in Garrett county. Only there's no good way to get to them, and they're all rocks. I'll see if I can get some pictures up eventually. The bottom 9 miles are blocked off by metal locked gates. I didn't see a lock on the top 9, but didnt want to push it.

For what it's worth, I doubt Coca Cola will be on the list for long. They are supposed to be building houses or something back there right now. They have cleaned up the official into the area, and brought in concrete barriers to block the illegal entrance. That seems to block all illegal vehicle access except the dirt bikes and small four wheelers.

You should, in no way, take any of this personally. It's just business. So to recap, I come in peace, I mean you no harm, and you all will die. Gallaxhar out.
