Looking for some wheeling between Souderton, PA and St Mary's County, MD

I'm driving down from Souderton, PA (45 mins north of philly) to St Mary's County, MD to visit my best friend who lives down there. I was hoping I could find some local wheeling spots preferably near where my friend lives so I can take him, but I would also be interested in something on the way down there that I could hit up on my way home. I'm a first time wheeler so nothing too technical, I mean heck I would take just an open field with some mud. I just want to get dirty and have some fun. Trails, fields, rocks, mud, anything. I was gonna try to put a google map of my rough route but I couldn't link it right....so do it yourself

Saint Mary's is down by the water. Your not going to find much for elevation changes down that way. Honestly most of that land is all privately owned, farms etc. I don't think your going to have much luck down that way short of maybe a power line or two, but I wouldn't recommend that.

Dangit that's what I was afraid of. Are there any places between there and Philly? I actually found an old logging road near my friends house but it goes through private property I think so not gonna try that, especially after being gun-threatened by a crazy hillbilly because he thought I was wheeling in his field, when all I was doing was turning around in his driveway, and I also happened to be muddy at the time, but not from his field.

Depends on the way you go. Just over the Md border into Pa, there is a spot some folks go. Not much but if you really need to go that bad do a search for "Trails Rd". It is in Southern York Township, I believe. Hop over to the Pa forum. It is a very active thread.
