I've got historic tags on my 45 2a. I drve it everyday. My Ins. Co knows and doesn't care. I have state farm. 60 bucks per 6 months. I keep a 1945 Md plate bolted on the back of the jeep and the new Md tags under the pass seat in the tool box. I didn't sign anything other then the tag app. and my ins papers. There is no way for them to inforce the mileage or driving reason. A cop doesn't want to wright u a ticket for driving on historic plates when you may not be allowed to. To much paperwork and crap for him.

Went with the Historic tags, no questions asked just filled out the paper work and turned it in. Thanks for all the info.
