Fuel Filter

I am restoring a 1987 YJ Wrangler, 4.2...the carb was upgraded to a manual carb, I have a dual fuel filter on the gas line at the carb, which, I blocked off the other line....That worked for awhile, it is now leaking, where does the other line go? Or what can I do to replace with a single line filter? I tried a single line once and it leaked really bad, could it have been that the carb was adjust at a high pressure? and if so what adjuster screw do I adjust? This Holly is a two barrel and has two adjusters on both sides , and one lg adjuster screw on the back. Any suggestion out ther with my leak?
