Exclamation 2nd Annual Mason - Dixon Willys Jeep Gathering MD

I posted this in the Northeast Section, but figured I should post it here too.

The 2nd Annual Mason-Dixon Willys Jeep Gathering:
Location: Union Mills Homestead, 3311 Littlestown Pike Westminster, MD 21158
Date: Sunday October 26, 2008 Time: 10am-3pm
Open to all Willys Jeep Vehicles (GPW's welcome too!)
(Visit www.jeepchasm.com for more details.)

Limited swap meet space will be available! Kountry Kafe & Katering will be back with their Pit Beef rig!

Register now (it's free) by sending Mike an e-mail (admin@jeepchasm.com) with the following information:
Willys Model & Year, Your Name, Your Address, Your Phone number & e-mail
address. We also need to know if you will be bringing swap meet items.

The first Annual event was covered by 2 local newspapers, LOW-Range and Jrations magazines. Both magazines published the date for the 2nd Annual Gathering, so we're expecting a good turn-out!

There are numerous hotels & motels within 10 miles of the Homestead both in Westminster, MD & Gettysburg, PA. Spend the night and check out the local Civil War sites!

Arrangements have been made with The Boston Inn (6 miles away in Westminster, MD). They will offer a discount rate of $61 /night to Willys Jeep Gathering Participants. Mention the Gathering when you make reservations!
Phone: 800-634-0846 Website: www.thebostoninn.com
They have some trailer space on their lot, and there is a large shopping center lot immediately behind the Inn for larger trailers.

Hope to see you there.

Be well,
Richard

I will be their!! again. Definitely worth going! lots of unique Jeeps. I hope the guy with the dual rear wheel CJ will be their again - that thing was restored VERY well. My Jeep truck won't be ready by that date...could I bring a notebook with pictures of my restoration? I'll see you then.

Hey Jake. Where in Virginia are you? We're going up Saturday. Yes, Alex is bringing his "Dually" CJ2A again this year. My friends are bringing the '42 GPW and the MB with the Mickey Mouse Camo again too. You should bring your notebook for sure, I bet folks would like to see what you are working on, I know I would.

Be well,
Richard

One Week Away!

Even if you don't have a Willys you can still come out and enjoy learning some of the history about the Jeep you drive now first hand. This year should be even bigger and better than last year.

Trophy Classes:
*Best CJ
*Best Military Jeep
*Best Willys (non-Jeep)
*Best Work in Progress
*Chairman's Choice

Work in Progress and Chairman's Choice are new this year! That means you folks that are still working on your Jeeps have the opportunity to win a trophy too!

And don't forget the swap meet. Maybe you can find that part for your work in progress that's been eluding you.

Be well,
Richard
