There really isn't any wheeling in Delaware, just the private land ESJA has for their club in Laurel. Combination of very few hills in the state and very few rocks in the ground. There are a couple illegal spots, but they are illegal and you can get some serious tickets if you get caught. Everybody in DE goes up to Rausch Creek for wheeling. The Delaware Jeep Association is going there this Saturday ( Some goto the Pine Barrens (mainly Wharton State Forest) but not very often since it's not challenging.

check out they are in Southern Jersey based about 2 miles from the Delaware Memorial Bridge. I must also must challenge the comment on the Pine Barrens. There are areas that have extremely challenging terrain, it depends on your preference of terrain. You will not find much for rocks and hills but there are legal trails with mud and water crossings. A few people including myself are looking at leasing a peice of property in Jersey not far from DE as well, so hopefully by the end of the summer we will have that as well. Once again no rocks. just hills and mud.

Hey everybody ,,,
Fyi - we are hosting an off-road Jeep event here in our park ( this late fall 2011. It will be the weekend of:
11/4-6/2011. We have donated the use of our 35 miles of private mountain off-road trails for this event. Also,, part of the registration fee's will be going to the foundation ... a great cause = "wildlife & the environment" ... treading lightly ,, of course
We are currently in the process of assembling an event team. Registration will open sometime in August for this event. Look for event info. in the Northeast post area of this forum (Pennsylvania). It will be listed either as "No Roads Necessary", etc. -or- as:
"The Howling Wolf Mountain Run - 2011" at Penn's Cave, PA ~~~

ps. Also ,, this will be a great event to attend even if you do not like to take your rig off-road. Convoy in with your jeep & family ... there will be a designated area (to park) for anyone who is not going out on the trails. Additionally ,, there is a semi off-road (gravel roads) beautiful scenic tour route through through a local state park that folks could go out on, too - (opposed to heading out on the "Howling Wolf" mountain off-road trails) ,, etc. ~~~ :thankyou:

The time now is 06:01 PM.
