haha...nothing bad man..i was just telling him about going up to wharton sometime and i was telling him about the pictures that were posted for this past weekends run and he told me a friend of his went....i was actually up there on saturday as well, but it was a last minute thing and i didn't remember where or when all of you were meeting...

come on guys lets not talk about or post pictures of going off trail in a wharton thread. the rangers do not take kindly to that and the last thing we need is to get wharton closed. FYI if a ranger sees a pic of your rig off trail and can prove its in wharton he can write you a ticket.

on another note i am in. my 4.56;s and lockers should get me stuck even deeper than last time lol

Sounds like we are going to need two groups.

Group 1, Must have little green map, cameras, air conditioning, nice paint job.
Group 2, Must have none of the above.

p.s.

I'll be taking a ride in a few minutes to Carranza to drop off firewood at the campground across the street.

Most likely be there tommorrow also.

Sounds good. I glanced at the [pic the first time and it looked like an overgrown trail. Im all for wheeling legally and keeping the trails open.

It'll be good to wheel with you again.

Yup, you guessed it.
The tree blocked forward motion, there was another trail to the right with big watery stuff.

So I had to back up a ways..
I could have easily gotten around the tree, but there was no trail there.

There are some other equally overgrown trails beyond Quaker bridge.

I guess as the local population moved from beat up pickups to SUVs with new paint, the narrow trails started to get avoided, and overgrown. The wider trails became overused highways with multipl go-arounds.

Now, back on topic
Who wants to try this road on the 23rd

p.s. Don't panic, the trash can was used to deliver firewood

ill try it. did that little ranger make it across? haha ussually the bad stuff sneaks up on ya and the stuff like that is easy

No, it backed up about 200 feet looking for forty acres to turn around.

I went through there back when it was even deeper after the first storm. I turned around after about half a mile of no signs of dry ground. Didn't feel like repacking my bearings and I had other trucks unable to follow me.

i dont have a rear recovery point but i do have 10,000lb hooks up front and fresh 31 inch mud tires. am i fine to come out.

i would really recommand you getting a rear tow point before coming out but since i'm not going out, i'd say its up to the group going out.
